Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Steps

  1. Heat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment.
  2. Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cream butter with both sugars until light; beat in eggs and vanilla.
  4. Mix in dry ingredients, then fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Drop rounded tablespoons onto sheets; bake 9–12 minutes until edges are golden.
