Chewy chocolate chip cookies
Brown butter optional; classic pantry staples and a soft center.
Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Steps
- Heat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment.
- Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Cream butter with both sugars until light; beat in eggs and vanilla.
- Mix in dry ingredients, then fold in chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoons onto sheets; bake 9–12 minutes until edges are golden.
