Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of YUM, a recipe and social cooking service operated by Nomadis (“Nomadis,” “we,” “us”). By accessing or using YUM, you agree to these Terms.
The service
YUM lets you browse, search, and share recipes. Features may change as we improve the product. Some capabilities (for example, creating or editing recipes) require an account and may depend on third-party authentication we configure.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be able to form a binding contract where you live. If you sign in, you are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. Notify us through your usual Nomadis or project channels if you believe your account is compromised.
Your content
You retain rights to recipes and other material you submit. By posting content to YUM, you grant Nomadis a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate and promote the service. You represent that you have the rights to grant this license and that your content does not violate law or third-party rights.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse YUM—for example: no unlawful, harassing, or deceptive activity; no attempts to probe, disrupt, or overload our systems; no scraping or automated access beyond what we allow; and no circumvention of security or access controls. We may suspend or terminate access for conduct that violates these Terms or puts the service or others at risk.
Third parties
YUM may rely on vendors (for example, identity, hosting, or database providers). Their terms and privacy practices apply where you use their services. We do not control third-party sites linked from YUM.
Disclaimers
YUM is provided “as is” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. Recipe content is user- or community-provided; use your judgment for food safety, allergies, and nutrition.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Nomadis and its suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of YUM. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of what you paid us for YUM in the twelve months before the claim (if any) or fifty U.S. dollars.
Changes
We may update YUM and these Terms. We will post changes here and may note material updates elsewhere (for example, in-app or by email where we have your address). Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Nomadis’ operating jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country apply.
